My personal take on Biggin Hill Memorial Museum
A fascinating Outer London museum, well worth the trip for any history enthusiasts.

Biggin Hill played an outsized role during the Battle of Britain, helping to protect London and being described by Churchill as our ‘strongest link’.

The museum feels modern and informative, and there’s a memorial church and garden nearby which is worth popping into.

Oh, and the cafe is excellent – possibly the best museum cafe in London, and named Nightingale Cafe in honour of the original cafe on the site, which was originally a civilian cafe that became part of the RAF enclave once war was declared.
