What it is

Museum tags: History; Architecture

Arguably London’s most famous building – home to the iconic Big Ben, as well as the heart of British political life. Guided tours show you around the historic building, including the House of Commons and House of Lords. You can also book self guided tours when Parliament isn’t in session. They also offer Big Ben tours, of Elizabeth Tower.

My personal take on Houses of Parliament
Every Londoner should do a tour of the Houses of Parliament at least once. They’re long, but so insightful — mixing together incredible architecture, beautiful art and decor, history and living politics. You genuinely get all of it at once, from learning about medieval history, to the way our country functions, to getting that “oh, it’s smaller in real life” feeling as you walk through the House of Commons.
