What it is
Museum tags: History; Maritime history; Military history; History; Niche history
Britains premier maritime museum and the largest of its kind in the world. A must-visit for maritime history enthusiasts, with exhibitions immersing visitors in naval history – a higlight is the jacket Admiral Nelson war at the Battle of Trafalgar – and home to ships and boats from all across the world. A Fijian canoe, an exhibition on Arctic and Antarctic exploration, and relics from the Titanic to name a few. Also hosts the excellent Astronomy Photographer of the Year exhibition annually.
Aside from that, a lot of the exhibits are interesting – especially if you have an interest in maritime history – but a little tired. That said, the Astrononmy Photography of the Year exhibition is always well worth checking out.
