Tower Hamlets’ local history archive, in Grade II listed former public library. Although most of the collection isn’t on show, they host exhibitions about local history which can be visited for free – check the website to see what’s on. For example, throughout 2025 and early 2026 it’s showing “Next Stop – 900 Years of Public Transport in Tower Hamlets”, a family-friendly exhibition exploring transport history from medieval bridges to the Elizabeth Line.
