There are some excellent museums close to Barking and Dagenham. Rainham Hall, recently reopened, is a beautifully preserved Georgian House. Further East in neighbouring Havering, you’ll also find the unique Upminster Tithe Barn Museum of Nostalgia and RAF Hornchurch Heritage Centre, which explores the Battle of Britain.
